At this time the Moon and Sun are united at the exact same degree in the sky, merging our conscious and unconscious aspects. Energy drops into a contemplative, reflective and quiet mode.

The downside is that it will be gritty, the upshot is that the energy is there to push through blocks to self-expression and creativity. You’ll need to express yourself authentically, both your true emotional needs as well as ego/identity. If you’ve been resisting, you’ll find this one extra gruesome. SOLAR ECLIPSE pitfalls- There’s bound to be some drama around this time-planet of expansion is pushing the limits on ‘overdoing it’ in a bid to control- If your life suddenly looks like an episode of game of thrones, its time to abdicate and pursue your own goals. A pro tip to get the ball rolling is to identify by whom, and how your power is drained, or you’re being dominated, challenged etc- then, look for where you do this in your life like that person does to you- you’ll be surprised. Next, look for how you do this to yourself!! Surprise!! You see it, you’ve got it, or you wouldn’t recognize it. You know something of it- time to disarm it.

Next, what does that part of you need? Healing? Acceptance? Simply to be acknowledged or heard? Cancer is a water sign so tears can help heal-let them flow if you need to.

YR VIBE ATTRACTS YR TRIBE : New Moon Sagittarius

Sagittarius Full Moon illuminates new horizons, expansion, adventure and friendship. Conjunct manifesting planet Saturn in Retrograde my educated guess is that while you may be pushing out of your comfort zone, (like it or not), remember to be humble and that corners you’ve skipped in the past may have you feeling you’re going backward to move forward. Saturn conspires for the chips to fall in a way where we have to do the work. Draw on prior learning, experience while taking it on the chin and doing the work, it can pay off greatly with an excellent flowing aspect (grande trine) hooking in Uranus and Venus with the North and south nodes of destiny.

Feel nervous about expansion? Remind yourself that trying new things means moving into the unknown. The unknown triggers our fear mechanism. Hence the saying ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’. If you don’t have some trepidation mixed with excitement you need to cast your goal further. Think of it as an adventure or quest on the path of your personal holy grail. Invest in a coach if you need extra support or know how.

A tense aspect to Neptune in Pisces tempts us to either bail or don the rose tinted glasses (millennial pink in these times), don’t. Instead draw on your creativity to reinvent. Think Madonnas transformations and how consummately she owned each role she cast herself in.

LET’S TALK ABOUT SEX BAE : New Moon in SCORPIO

Scorpio Full Moon illuminates intensity, perhaps jealousy, intrigue, but hopefully transformation/transcendence. You may be feeling you’ve turned a corner in part of your life (represented by the area of your birth chart this Moon 🌙 falls).

“The darkest area is illuminated by the brightest light” in this case I’d say the one most intent on facing one’s shadow and reclaiming it.

Summon your most fearsome inner demon, all those parts of you betrayed, rejected, disowned, abandoned and deemed taboo or unacceptable.. your inner bad girl, and embrace her, own her with all the love and acceptance you have, watch her transform into strength, beauty, and power.

THE SUN KING : Louis XIV & Moon/Venus in LEO

The SUN KING: No one did Moon in Leo resplendence better than Louis XIV

Louis had Sun in meticulous Virgo and a Moon/Venus conjunction in Grande Statement LEO. In Vedic (Hindu) astrology the Moon sign is given the relevance we in the west give to the Sun sign. Louis is a testament to the strength our Moon sign and placement can have..to all appearances, his life was one of the consummate Leo.

Literally, he was born a King, named himself after the Sun, and created an incredible role for himself as the star of the show while powerbroking everyone else into supporting cast and crew, and building the most magnificent set/theatre of all time-Versailles, to stage the event that was his reign/life.

To find the Virgo expression don your sunglasses to see past the magnificent golden theatrics to the more humble side which appears to be his attention to detail, punctual performance of duties, both personal and state, and a routine that residents and staff could set their clocks by.

The original MATERIAL BOY…Interestingly Madonna, the self-named ‘Material Girl’, had the opposite Sun/Moon combo of Sun Leo, Moon Virgo.
