△Personally, I’m forever sporting a creature comfort-loving, practical, arts and beauty appreciator/creator, open to hedonism and velvet-covered everything, long vegan lunches that merge into dinner time, Taurus rising! That said, with a nose for quality Taurus does adore luxury as much as it appreciates rustic, bucolic, pastoral delights..dirt cheap. If there’s something Taurus likes, it’s a bargain!! Taurus likes growth- to accumulate if not hoard, not spend. So don’t think you’ll be emptying the coffers this season just because it’s ruled by Taurus. Eco, upcycling and slow practical arts are all themes we’ll continue to see as cottage core grounds in over the Uranus through Taurus era. So start kneading that sourdough and fermenting your homegrown organic cabbage; I hear it’s especially lovely with dill.

Venus has moved from her fiery Warrior Goddess incarnation in Aries to Earthy Goddess vibes in sensual Taurus.

From an Astrological perspective, the planet Venus signifies how we relate, & what we’re attracted to. In general, she has ‘rulership’ over areas such as values and therefore finance, art, romantic love and what we find pleasurable. (Know this and its a great way to win hearts and therefore minds ). The sign hosting Venus adds a filter or overlay. In Taurus, the overlay is one of both pleasure and the practical hard work that goes into setting up a solid material foundation for your flavor of pleasure. Taurus Venus likes to indulge in and enjoy all those things she’s worked so hard for.

This month Venus in Taurus can help us plan and make practical steps toward manifesting our desires as well as enjoying the many pleasures in our daily lives. Since Taurus is co-ruled by Venus, this combo is as smooth and creamy as melted Belgian chocolate.

Venus begins her sojourn by reigning in the fire from a grand trine (super cosmic ease & gifts) from Make-it-happen Saturn in Sagittarius & The North Node of Destiny in self-expressive Leo. COMFORT ZONE 🌿 Taurus New Moon

On New Moons release the past, any habits, conditioning, thoughts, beliefs that aren’t authentic or no longer serve you. At this time the Moon and Sun are united at the exact same degree in the sky, both their lights blocked from our sight, merging both conscious and unconscious aspects of our mind. Energy is bought into a contemplative, reflective and quiet mood.
This makes rich soil for contacting your inner/higher self/subconscious, planning and setting foundations and goals for your path.
Write down what you are releasing, then burn them as you visualize and feel yourself let go with love and gratitude for how they have served you up until now.

New Moons are about Manifesting, so next plant the seeds of intention you want to sew, then water them with action. Write up to 10 intentions or affirmations to bring into your life over the next six months, by the Full Moon in TAURUS. This is when the Sun & Moon are opposite each other at their extreme ends of mutual polarity.

To take it a step further, draw or make a vision board for your plans, make sure you add a fruition date.

Focus on areas and approaches that TAURUS rules, such as:

Building things of beauty that endure longer than oneself
Practical beauty, ie the craftsperson/craft
The senses/ sensual pleasure/pleasure of the flesh
Property development
The dollars and cents/wealth accumulation
Natural resources, skills, and talent

This New Moon is a great opportunity to build up any foundations and resources that need attention, both financially and emotionally. The aim here is security. Taurus is a Fixed Earth sign. The first of the Earth signs and only second in the zodiac Taurus is concerned with ‘mine’. The motto is ‘I have’. If its just talk, Taurus isn’t interested. My body, my resources, show me the money.

The financial situation we find ourselves in often reflects our sense of self-worth. We all have natural resources and talents we can trade in fair exchange for a good living, if not a truly lux one! If your self-worth could do with some work, then get to it and bring in the appreciation and gratitude for yourself. Taurus is patient, diligent and works hard. Where do you see yourself? Plan. Set your goals, look at what you have to do to get your abilities on point and to get there, and get started. Step by step is all it takes. Break it down into bite-size steps. Reverse engineer. Trust your gut? Then just get started.

If you self-sabotage or seem to have blocks to money and resources then therapy can often reveal the hidden benefits of not coming into your material power. Coaching can build up where you may not have had the opportunity to develop a strong self-esteem. Go back to the drawing board and draw up a new model that will serve you better.

Taurus is ruled by Venus in her practical manifestation. Any arts you are drawn to? Now’s the time to work on or take up your craft.

The ‘house’ of your natal chart this New Moon falls in tells us where in life you need a solid foundation, employing a step by step approach to achieving goals. It also shows us where you need to stop, smell the flowers and enjoy the material and sensual wealth of this earthly life.

This month the New Moon falls in the 12th house of my natal chart, the most unearthly area of life ruling the non-manifest, dreams and the collective unconscious. I’ve been readying the ground to practice lucid dreaming in an effort to move forward into more spiritual practices. Also inspired to build on musical ability as a spiritual practice, step by step (ie express my self vocally beyond the crushing and strangling of ego-very 12th and a big personal struggle when it comes to singing).

The Full Moon brings to the surface our instinctual, emotional truth…like sea life drawn to the surface of the water by lunar light.
Look for the fruition of seeds planted 6 months ago on the TAURUS New Moon. What were you dreaming of, or planning for then? What is your harvest looking like now?

This Moon illuminates resources…and self-worth. Your self-worth often reflects what you’re willing to demand for your income as much as your income can inform your self-worth! Better to work on the former than experiencing the vicissitude of the latter.
What are you willing to accept and demand for yourself and what are you willing/happy to swap in terms of labor or effort for said resources. Look around right now, this Full Moon illuminates your current circumstances, there lies the answer.

My prediction is that in some way personal resources, income or money, in general, will be under the spotlight.

Sitting here in Kerala, India, a cup of fragrant steaming chai on the desk as I write, Taurus Full Moon has kept her promise. Countries have a chart based on when the presiding Governing body was officially formed, signed and sealed. In this case, the full Moon falls in Indias 12th house of hidden enemies. The current hot topic being, counterfeiters and the black market.

Recently the Prime Minister announced on national t.v that 2 major Rupee cash notes in the currency are now worthless and must be deposited in the bank before Dec 31st or they will no longer be accepted. No stores are taking the notes at all. This financial affair has caused MAJOR disruption as banks are focussed on taking back the notes and NO-WHERE has ANY cash to give, no atm, no bank, no foreign currency exchange. No idea when they’ll have fresh new notes to distribute. Maybe four days, maybe a week…Chaos.

Its all in an effort to purge the cash system of counterfeit notes, of which there are many, banks struggling to identify them from the real notes. In my case for the first time, I decided to travel without my usual wads of cash and travelers’ cheques to keep me feeling secure. I was finally coming into the modern era, traveling with only a plastic card representing my worldly liquid assets. So as I am here on an Ayurvedic detox to jump start my bodies filtration system and clean my blood, the Major banks are doing the same with India’s currency.
(If you have 500 or 1000 IRP, cash them in at your local exchange before Dec 31 or they may as well be dust).

Which part of life does this full Moon fall in your chart (make your birth chart free at astroallstarz.com)?
Personally, I have Taurus rising/ascendant, with this full moon falling just after my ascendant. Lesson learned? Cash is KING, and gold is better. Be PREPARED and hold onto those resources (enforced savings) to shop another day…In terms of outlook, keep looking for a better investment and a fabulous Summer wardrobe. (Summer in Australia of course).
